On the morning of 28 July 2026, Samdech Moha Borvor Thipadei Hun Manet, Prime Minister of the Kingdom of Cambodia, received a courtesy call from Mr. Yoshihisa Kainuma, Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of MinebeaMitsumi Inc., at the Peace Palace.
During the meeting, the CEO expressed his sincere gratitude to the Royal Government of Cambodia, as well as the relevant ministries and institutions, for their continued support of MinebeaMitsumi Inc.’s business operations in Cambodia, which has contributed significantly to the company’s achievements and success. He briefed Samdech Thipadei on the company’s business progress, its plans to inaugurate a new factory, and its plans for further investment expansion in Cambodia. The CEO noted that the company’s continued growth and success have helped attract other Japanese investors to Cambodia, and that the company continues to have confidence in Cambodia’s favourable investment climate and stability. He also informed Samdech Thipadei that the company will celebrate the 15th anniversary of its operations in Cambodia this coming December.
In response, Samdech Thipadei expressed his great pleasure at MinebeaMitsumi Inc.’s continued growth and success in Cambodia, emphasising that the company’s success is also Cambodia’s success. The Royal Government of Cambodia continues to support investors while maintaining a favourable, resilient, and highly competitive investment climate. Furthermore, Samdech Thipadei highlighted the implementation of key policies and reforms aimed at facilitating business and investment in Cambodia, including the reform of the Council for the Development of Cambodia (CDC), strengthening support for small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs), and providing tax incentives for strategic and high-potential sectors.
Before concluding the meeting, Samdech Thipadei encouraged MinebeaMitsumi Inc. to explore further investment opportunities in local supply chains, seek potential domestic partners, and continue working closely with the relevant ministries and institutions to enhance investment efficiency and seize new growth opportunities alongside Cambodia.
