On the morning of 22 July 2026, Samdech Moha Borvor Thipadei HUN Manet, Prime Minister of the Kingdom of Cambodia, received a courtesy call from Ambassador (Ret.) Brian D. McFeeters, President and CEO of the US-ASEAN Business Council (USABC), who led an investor delegation, at the Peace Palace.
The USABC delegation comprised companies representing a wide range of sectors, including automotive, agricultural machinery, healthcare, energy, pharmaceuticals, food processing, retail, as well as banking and finance. During the meeting, the delegation commended the continued growth of Cambodia–US relations and the strong support and excellent cooperation between the two countries, emphasising that bilateral relations are on a positive trajectory. The delegation also reaffirmed its commitment to further strengthening and deepening trade and investment relations with Cambodia. In addition, it expressed its appreciation to the Royal Government, as well as the relevant ministries and institutions, for their continued support and close cooperation with US companies operating in Cambodia. The delegation noted that US companies already operating in Cambodia would maintain their engagement, expand their investments, and explore new investment opportunities in the country. Furthermore, the delegation informed Samdech Thipadei that US companies investing in Cambodia have made significant contributions to healthcare, education, and other sectors, as well as to capacity-building, human resource development, and support for small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) in the country. The USABC member companies also reaffirmed their commitment to further strengthening their partnership with Cambodia and continuing to contribute to the country’s socio-economic development.
In response, Samdech Thipadei expressed his appreciation to the US companies for their trust and confidence in investing in Cambodia. He noted that their investments not only contribute to Cambodia’s socio-economic development but also help further strengthen bilateral relations and cooperation between Cambodia and the United States. Samdech Thipadei also welcomed the companies’ commitment to maintaining their engagement in Cambodia, expanding their existing investments, and exploring new investment opportunities across a range of promising sectors. He further highlighted the Royal Government of Cambodia’s implementation of key policies and measures to support the success of investors in Cambodia, including investment incentives, tax incentives, institutional reforms, and administrative procedure simplification to facilitate business operations and maintain Cambodia’s competitiveness both regionally and globally. Samdech Thipadei also emphasised the Royal Government of Cambodia’s commitment to maintaining a highly favourable investment climate and ensuring fair competition for all companies investing in Cambodia.
In conclusion, Samdech Thipadei encouraged the USABC delegation to continue engaging with the relevant ministries and institutions to identify and seize opportunities to further expand their investments in Cambodia.
