On the morning of 17 July 2026, Samdech Moha Borvor Thipadei HUN Manet, Prime Minister of the Kingdom of Cambodia, received a courtesy call from Mr Li Maoshun, Chairman of the Board of Directors of New Dazheng Property Group Co., Ltd. (New Dazheng), on the occasion of his working visit to the People’s Republic of China and his participation in the 2026 World AI Conference, held from 15 to 17 July 2026.
During the meeting, the Chairman briefed Samdech Thipadei on the company’s business operations, which specialise in the enhancement of urban public spaces, building management, and smart city development. He also highlighted the company’s cooperation with more than 100 universities across China. The Chairman further noted that the company had previously explored investment opportunities in Cambodia and had worked closely with local partners to identify and seize those opportunities. The company is partnering with Cambodian counterparts to establish an Investment Operations Centre in Cambodia, with the aim of facilitating and attracting more Chinese investors to invest in the country. At the same time, he expressed the company’s interest in estabishing cooperation with Cambodian universities to create greater opportunities for Cambodian students to pursue higher education in China.
In response, Samdech Thipadei welcomed the company’s intention to invest in Cambodia and its cooperation with Cambodian partners in exploring business and investment opportunities. He also welcomed the initiative to establish an Investment Operations Centre in Cambodia to provide Chinese investors with comprehensive information on Cambodia’s investment potential and business opportunities. Regarding educational cooperation, Samdech Thipadei emphasised that education remains one of the Royal Government’s highest priorities. He further noted that many Cambodian students have been awarded scholarships to pursue higher education in China and, upon completing their studies, have returned to Cambodia to contribute actively to the country’s socio-economic development.
In conclusion, Samdech Thipadei encouraged the company to continue strengthening its collaboration with Cambodian partners and to maintain close engagement with the relevant Cambodian ministries and institutions to identify and seize concrete investment opportunities in Cambodia.
