On the morning of 10 April 2026, Samdech Moha Borvor Thipadei Hun Manet, Prime Minister of the Kingdom of Cambodia, held a working discussion with H.E. Tran Cam Tu, Member of the Politburo and Standing Member of the Secretariat of the Communist Party of Vietnam Central Committee, at the Peace Palace.
During the meeting, H.E. Tran Cam Tu expressed his profound gratitude to Samdech Thipadei for setting aside his valuable time to meet during his visit to Cambodia. He also conveyed greetings from H.E. To Lam, General Secretary of the Communist Party of Vietnam and State President, and H.E. Le Minh Hung, the new Prime Minister of Vietnam, to Samdech Thipadei, while offering congratulations on the numerous achievements Cambodia has attained. H.E. Tran Cam Tu expressed his firm belief that, under the visionary leadership of Samdech Thipadei, Cambodia will continue to achieve new successes for the nation and its people. Furthermore, he expressed satisfaction and highly valued the progress of the excellent relations and co-operation between the two countries, which are entering a new phase.
In response, Samdech Thipadei extended a warm welcome to H.E. Tran Cam Tu and his delegation and congratulated Vietnam on the successful 14th National Congress of the Communist Party of Vietnam and the recent election of Vietnam’s leadership. Samdech Thipadei spoke highly of the economic growth and major achievements attained by the Party and State of Vietnam. On that occasion, Samdech Thipadei also conveyed his greetings to the General Secretary and State President, as well as the new Prime Minister of Vietnam. He commended the flourishing relations and excellent co-operation between the two nations and reaffirmed the commitment to further strengthening and expanding bilateral ties across all sectors for continued growth and stability.
Samdech Thipadei and H.E. Tran Cam Tu also discussed and exchanged views on promoting co-operation in several key areas, including politics, economy, trade, security and defence, education, and people-to-people connectivity — particularly between the youth of both nations.
