Cambodian Senate President Tests Social Media for Outside Interference

AKP | Phnom Penh, June 24, 2025 — Cambodian Senate President, Samdech Akka Moha Sena Padei Techo Hun Sen, announced this afternoon that he had conducted a test to detect external interference on his Facebook account.

“My post today was simply to see how outsiders are disrupting my Facebook,” he stated after posting photos of his children accompanied by a message.

Samdech Techo Hun Sen said the interference reflects an organised effort originating from Bangkok. “This is not just about invading territory, now even Facebook is being targeted,” he remarked.

“We can assess that they are shifting from internal conflict to creating disputes with Cambodia. No matter how hard they try, their internal power struggle cannot be suppressed,” he emphasised.

The Senate President went on to predict that Thailand will see a change in leadership within the next three months. “I already can tell who the next Prime Minister will be, but I’ll leave that to the imagination,” he said.

“Please focus your energy on resolving your internal conflict instead of troubling me,” he concluded.
