H.E. Senior Minister, Prak Sokhonn will lead a delegation to attend the “Special ASEAN-U.S. Foreign Ministers’ Meeting”
His Excellency Prak Sokhonn, Senior Minister, Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, will lead a delegation to attend the “ Special ASEAN-U.S. Foreign Ministers’ Meeting” to be held on 4 May 2017 in Washington D.C., the United States of America.
It will be the first meeting between ASEAN Foreign Ministers and Secretary of State of the United States of America since the new administration of President Donald Trump took office in January this year.
The Meeting is expected to reaffirm the common and strong desire of both sides to further strengthen and deepen the ASEAN-US dialogue relations that was elevated to the strategic level by the ASEAN Leaders in November 2015. It is worth noting that the US is the fourth largest trading partner of ASEAN.
During his stay in Washington DC., His Excellency Senior Minister Prak Sokhonn will have a bilateral meeting with the Honorable John F. Kelly, Secretary of Homeland Security of the United States of America.
