AKP Phnom Penh, July 09, 2018 —Cambodia marked the annual Arbour Day in Teuk Chhou district, Kampot province this morning under the high presidency of His Majesty Norodom Sihamoni, King of Cambodia.
Samdech Vibol Sena Pheakdei Say Chhum, President of the Senate; Samdech Akka Moha Ponhea Chakrei Heng Samrin, President of the National Assembly; Samdech Kralahom Sar Kheng, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Interior, many other high-ranking officials and members of diplomatic corps, were also present on the occasion.
The celebration is aimed to inspire people to take part in rehabilitating and replanting trees for the beauty of natural scenery, water source maintaining, as well as in reducing global warming, wilderness, and climate change, etc.
Last year’s Arbour Day took place in Ang Snuol district of Kandal province.
