On the afternoon of 15 October 2026, Samdech Moha Borvor Thipadei HUN Manet, Prime Minister of the Kingdom of Cambodia, held a bilateral meeting with His Excellency Shavkat Mirziyoyev, President of the Republic of Uzbekistan, on the occasion of Samdech Thipadei’s official visit to Azerbaijan and his attendance at the 7th Summit of the Conference on Interaction and Confidence Building Measures in Asia (CICA), held in Baku, the capital of the Republic of Azerbaijan, from 11 to 15 October 2026.
During the meeting, the President of Uzbekistan expressed his great pleasure at meeting with Samdech Thipadei and his firm belief that the meeting would further strengthen and advance bilateral relations and cooperation.
In response, Samdech Thipadei expressed his pleasure at meeting with the President of Uzbekistan and extended his warm congratulations to the Government and people of Uzbekistan on the 35th anniversary of the country’s independence.
Both leaders spoke highly of the longstanding relations and cooperation between the two countries over the past three decades, noting that considerable potential remains to further promote and expand bilateral cooperation for their mutual benefit. They also agreed to continue strengthening and expanding bilateral relations and cooperation at all levels by promoting regular and comprehensive high-level exchanges, reinforcing bilateral cooperation mechanisms, and fostering closer ties between the private sectors of the two countries.
The two leaders also exchanged views on enhancing cooperation in trade and investment, tourism, education, cultural exchanges, and people-to-people connectivity.
