Phnom Penh, March 23, 2020 –Samdech Akka Moha Sena Padei Techo Hun Sen, Prime Minister of the Kingdom of Cambodia, has extended a welcoming message to a team of seven Chinese medical doctors who arrived at Phnom Penh International Airport this morning.
According to the message posted on the Premier’s official Facebook page this morning, this Chinese medical team will help train Cambodian counterparts on how to treat the COVID-19 infected patients, after their successful fight against the pandemic in China.
As of yesterday evening, Cambodia has so far detected 84 COVID-19 cases (22 women), of them there are 33 Cambodians, 3 British, 33 French, a Canadian, a Belgian, 12 Malaysians, and a Chinese. Two of them have already recovered.
According to World Health Organisation, there are now 294,110 confirmed cases globally with 12,944 deaths in 186 countries, and territories.
