Cambodia Garden in China Inaugurated

Phnom Penh, April 29, 2019 –The Cambodia Garden at the 2019 International Horticultural Exhibition in Beijing, capital of China was inaugurated yesterday under the presidency of Prime Minister Samdech Akka Moha Sena Padei Techo Hun Sen.

According to a special report of the National Television of Kampuchea (TVK), the inauguration ceremony took place on the sidelines of the 2nd Belt and Road Forum for International Cooperation.

Located on an area of 1,000 square metres, the Cambodia Garden was built with Khmer style under the theme “Live Green, Live Better” with various local trees, including different species of palm trees and flowers.

The International Horticultural Exhibition 2019 covers an area of 5.03 square kilometres at the foot of the Great Wall in Beijing’s Yanqing district. This is one of the huge collection of plants, flowers and eye-catching pavilions, as well as ideas for green development, which will continue to enthrall visitors for 162 days, from April 29 to October 07, 2019.

It expected to attract 110 countries and international organisations as participants and more than 120 non-official exhibitors. It will have 41 outdoor exhibition centers which will host about 2,500 activities, including those involving artificial intelligence and 5G technology. Around 16 million Chinese and foreign visitors are expected to visit this exhibition. By Khan Sophirom
