AKP Phnom Penh, November 20, 2018 -Cambodia and the United States of America have exchanged mutual appreciation of the cooperation between the two nations. 
The positive spirit took place in a farewell meeting granted to outgoing U.S. Ambassador to Cambodia H.E. William A. Heidt by Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation H.E. Prak Sokhonn here in Phnom Penh yesterday evening.
H.E. William A. Heidt spoke highly of good relationship between Cambodia and the United States of America in all sectors, adding that his country will continue to support Cambodia with mine clearance activities.
From his end, H.E. Prak Sokhonn expressed his appreciation of H.E. William A. Heidt’s efforts in promoting bilateral cooperation and underlined continuous Cambodia-U.S. collaboration in fighting against terrorism, human trafficking as well as cross-border crimes. He also thanked the U.S. government for its support to Cambodia’s mine clearance work.
According to H.E. Prak Sokhonn, the volume of Cambodia and U.S. bilateral trade is expected to reach US$500 million in a very near future.
