AKP Phnom Penh, April 24, 2018 – Prime Minister Samdech Akka Moha Sena Padei Techo Hun Sen of the Kingdom of Cambodia received here this morning at the Peace Palace visiting Governor of Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region of the People’s Republic of China H.E. Chen Wu.
According to H.E. Eang Sophalleth, Assistant to the Cambodian Premier, during the courtesy meeting, H.E. Chen Wu lauded Cambodia’s development and thanked Samdech Techo Hun Sen for his support and cooperation for the success of the ASEAN-China Expo in Nanning so far.
He took the opportunity to invite Samdech Techo Prime Minister to attend the 15th ASEAN-China Expo in Nanning this year and briefed him on outcomes of the cooperation between Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region and Cambodia in terms of investment, trade, tourism and so on.
H.E. Chen Wu said there is currently a direct flight from Guangxi to Phnom Penh and the Guangxi-Siem Reap route will be also established.
On the occasion, the visited governor handed over 160 tons of milled rice to Samdech Techo Hun Sen for his humanitarian activities.
For his part, the Cambodian Premier spoke highly of the strong Cambodia-China relations and accepted the invitation to attend the ASEAN-China Expo.
Samdech Techo Hun Sen also thanked H.E. Chen Wu for the rice donation, saying that he will give the rice to the Cambodia Red Cross for its humanitarian mission.
