On the afternoon of 15 October 2026, Samdech Moha Borvor Thipadei HUN Manet, Prime Minister of the Kingdom of Cambodia, held a bilateral meeting with His Excellency Isaac Herzog, President of the State of Israel, on the occasion of Samdech Thipadei’s official visit to Azerbaijan and his attendance at the 7th Summit of the Conference on Interaction and Confidence Building Measures in Asia (CICA), held in Baku, the capital of the Republic of Azerbaijan, from 11 to 15 October 2026.
During the meeting, the President of Israel expressed his pleasure at meeting with Samdech Thipadei, noting that the meeting reflected the longstanding friendship between Israel and Cambodia.
In response, Samdech Thipadei expressed his pleasure at meeting with the President of Israel and conveyed the warm greetings of His Majesty Preah Bat Samdech Preah Boromneath NORODOM SIHAMONI, King of the Kingdom of Cambodia, to the President.
Both leaders expressed satisfaction with the progress made in relations and cooperation between Cambodia and Israel over nearly six decades and reaffirmed their commitment to further strengthening and expanding these ties for the mutual benefit of both countries and their peoples. They also exchanged views on enhancing cooperation in trade and investment, agriculture, education, tourism, and labour. The two leaders agreed to strengthen consultation mechanisms and promote regular high-level official exchanges to identify and harness new opportunities for elevating bilateral cooperation to a new level.
Before concluding the meeting, Samdech Thipadei expressed his gratitude to the Government of Israel for its care, support, and assistance to Cambodian students and citizens living, working, and studying in Israel.
