On the morning of 10 September 2026, Samdech Moha Borvor Thipadei HUN Manet, Prime Minister of the Kingdom of Cambodia, received a courtesy call from a delegation of the American Cambodian Business Chamber (ACBC), led by Ms. Sokveasna Chan, the Founder and President of the ACBC, at the Peace Palace.
During the meeting, the President of the ACBC expressed her profound gratitude to Samdech Thipadei for taking time out of his busy schedule to receive the ACBC delegation, and briefed him on the purpose of the business visit, which aimed to explore investment opportunities in Cambodia. She noted that during the visit, the delegation had held discussions and paid courtesy calls on leaders of relevant ministries and institutions of the Royal Government of Cambodia, as well as the Sihanoukville Autonomous Port. She expressed her high appreciation for the warm hospitality and support provided by the relevant ministries and institutions, and shared information regarding Cambodia’s investment potential in key sectors. In particular, ACBC member companies expressed strong interest in investing in logistics, agriculture, and furniture, with a view to fostering connections between investors from both countries and further expanding the volume of bilateral trade.
In response, Samdech Thipadei HUN Manet extended a warm welcome to the Founder and the ACBC delegation on their business visit to Cambodia. Samdech Thipadei regarded the visit as a vital driving force in promoting business ties between Cambodia and the United States, emphasising that both countries still possess significant potential for expanding cooperation, particularly in trade and investment. Samdech Thipadei also expressed his optimism that, in the future, Cambodian products will have an increasing presence in the United States market. Furthermore, Samdech Thipadei highlighted the Royal Government of Cambodia’s vision, which aims to transform the Sihanoukville Autonomous Port into a regional logistics hub and foster direct links between this port and major ports in the United States.
