Acting Head of State Receives Thai Prime Minister

AKP, September 08, 2017 –Acting Head of State Samdech Vibol Sena Pheakdei Say Chhum has warmly received Thai Prime Minister H.E. Gen. Prayut Chan-o-cha during his one-day visit in Cambodia.

The two sides spoke highly of increasing cooperation between the two Kingdoms during the meeting taking place in the afternoon of Sept. 7 here at the Senate Palace.

H.E. Gen. Prayut Chan-o-cha expressed his appreciation of the 3rd Cambodia-Thailand joint cabinet session earlier in the morning that covered a wide range of issues, from social security, trade to land, water and air transport connections.

The Thai Prime Minister also touched on smooth economic operation along border areas – thanks to the continuing good collaboration of the two neighbours.

On behalf of His Majesty King Norodom Sihamoni and Her Majesty Queen-Mother Norodom Monineath Sihanouk of Cambodia, Samdech Vibol Sena Pheakdei Say Chhum shared his observation of major progresses of the Kingdom of Thailand, particularly under the leadership of King Maha Vajiralongkorn Bodindradebayavarangkun and H.E. Gen. Prayut Chan-o-cha.

The Acting Head of State thanked Thailand for the country’s assistance to Cambodia – especially in the areas of health, education, social affairs and infrastructure – as well as for all the good cooperation.
