On the evening of 15 July 2026, Samdech Moha Borvor Thipadei HUN Manet, Prime Minister of the Kingdom of Cambodia, received a courtesy call from Mr Fu Laifa, Director of Southeast Asian Affairs of Fujian Jinlu Daily Chemical Co., Ltd., on the occasion of his working visit to the People’s Republic of China and his participation in the 2026 World AI Conference, held from 15 to 17 July 2026.
During the meeting, Mr Fu Laifa briefed Samdech Thipadei on the company’s business operations, noting that it is one of the leading manufacturers of household consumer products, including household insecticides, laundry detergents, tissue paper, and a wide range of household products. He also informed Samdech Thipadei of the company’s intention to invest in establishing a household goods manufacturing plant in the country, in light of Cambodia’s strong investment potential.
In response, Samdech Thipadei welcomed the company’s interest in exploring investment opportunities in Cambodia. He emphasised that the Royal Government has consistently attached great importance to promoting domestic manufacturing in order to reduce reliance on imported products. He noted that this is fully aligned with the company’s intention to invest in establishing a household goods manufacturing plant to strengthen the domestic production chain and meet the needs of the local market. Furthermore, Samdech Thipadei expressed his confidence that, if successfully implemented and expanded, the project would not only meet domestic market demand but also create opportunities to export Cambodian-made products to regional markets.
Before concluding the meeting, Samdech Thipadei encouraged the company to maintain close engagement with the relevant Cambodian ministries and institutions in order to translate its investment intention into a concrete investment project in Cambodia.
