The Ministry of National Defence of the Kingdom of Cambodia wishes to inform the public, both domestic and international media outlets, that the Regional Border Committee (RBC) meeting between Cambodia’s Military Region 4 and Thailand’s Army Area 2 is scheduled to take place during October.
On the October 7, 2025, Cambodia’s Military Region 4 issued a second invitation, following the initial invitation dated September 30, 2025. This second letter formally invited the Royal Thai Army’s Army Area 2 to participate in the Cambodia-Thailand Regional Border Committee (RBC) Meeting. The meeting is scheduled to be hosted by Cambodia in Oddar Meanchey Province from October 15-17, 2025. This meeting is consistent with the spirit of the outcome of the 1st Special GBC Meeting, as well as the outcomes of the First Extraordinary RBC Meeting between the 4th Military Region of the Kingdom of Cambodia and the 2nd Army Area of the Kingdom of Thailand, held on August 27, 2025.
It is also worth noting that the invitation for Thai side to participate in the Second Extraordinary RBC meeting is aimed at ensure the sustained, full, and effective implementation of the ceasefire agreement between Cambodia and Thailand, in order to foster practical cooperation to enhance peace and stability, as well as to restore normalcy in the relations between the two countries.
