Keynote Address by H.E. Pen Bona, Spokesperson for the Royal Government of Cambodia:

During the implementation of the ceasefire agreement that came into effect at midnight on July 28, 2025, Cambodia, as a peace loving Nation, has consistently maintained silence and with utmost patience. However, since the coming into effect of the ceasefire, especially the recent successful outcomes of GBC Extraordinary Meeting that achieved the 13-points agreements, we have ascertained that many and incessant false and untrue information have gone viral from the Thai sides during the implementation of this ceasefire.
The Royal Government Spokesperson takes note that all these false information are baseless and useless because not only the Cambodian people and the international community as a whole do not believe it, but also even among the Thai people themselves are skeptical about the information released by their Government and Army.
Therefore, the spokesperson for the Royal Government of Cambodia calls on the Thai side to show goodwill and commitment to honor the ceasefire agreement in good faith so as to maintain peace between both countries which are beneficial to both peoples, Khmer and Thai.
