Phnom Penh, October 22, 2019 –Prime Minister Samdech Akka Moha Sena Padei Techo Hun Sen has expressed his concern over two major issues in Phnom Penh capital.<\/a><\/p>\n At the graduation ceremony of more than 4,000 students of Build Bright University here this morning, the Premier mentioned about two main problems facing by Phnom Penh currently \u2013 rubbish and car parking.<\/p>\n For rubbish problem, Samdech Techo Hun Sen said CINTRI, the company in charge of rubbish collection in Phnom Penh, alone cannot manage all rubbish in the capital, explaining that the territory of Phnom Penh has been expanded from over 300 square kilometres in late 1990s to the current 600 square kilometres, while rubbish has increased from some 300-500 tonnes to about 3,000 tonnes a day.<\/p>\n The Prime Minister announced his plan to take back the management of CINTRI, then divide Phnom Penh into three or four zones and all interested companies are invited to bid. But, he added, one company is allowed to manage waste collection only in one zone.<\/p>\n He also took the opportunity to call for participation from each individual in making Phnom Penh clean.<\/p>\n For the car parking issue, Samdech Techo Hun Sen said private companies can invest in underground car parks at public gardens, including Samdech Hun Sen Garden.<\/p>\n By C.
