{"id":3714,"date":"2017-04-24T17:20:08","date_gmt":"2017-04-24T10:20:08","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/pressocm.gov.kh\/?p=3714"},"modified":"2017-04-25T17:21:34","modified_gmt":"2017-04-25T10:21:34","slug":"press-release-samdech-techo-hun-sen-to-lead-delegation-to-attend-the-30th-asean-summit","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/pressocm.gov.kh\/en\/archives\/3714","title":{"rendered":"Press Release, Samdech Techo Hun Sen to lead delegation to attend the 30th ASEAN Summit"},"content":{"rendered":"<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong>Samdech Akka Moha Sena Padei Techo Hun Sen<\/strong>, Prime Minister of the Kingdom of Cambodia, will lead a delegation to attend the 30<sup>th<\/sup> ASEAN Summit under the theme \u201cPartnering for Change, Engaging the World\u201d to be held in Manila, Republic of the Philippines, on 29<sup>th<\/sup> April 2017, at the invitation of His Excellency <strong>Rodrigo Roa Duterte,<\/strong>President of the Republic of the Philippines.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Dignitaries accompanying <strong>Samdech Techo Hun Sen<\/strong> will include:<\/p>\n<ul style=\"text-align: justify;\">\n<li>E. Mr. <strong>Prak Sokhonn<\/strong>, Senior Minister, Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation;<\/li>\n<li>E. Dr. <strong>Hang Chuon Naron<\/strong>, Minister of Education, Youth and Sports;<\/li>\n<li>E. Mr. <strong>Pan Sorasak<\/strong>, Minister of Commerce; and<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Other members of the Royal Government of Cambodia.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">In the framework of the 30<sup>th<\/sup> ASEAN Summit, Samdech Techo will also attend the ASEAN Leaders\u2019 Interface with Representatives of ASEAN Inter-Parliamentary Assembly and ASEAN Leaders\u2019 Interface with Representatives of ASEAN Youth.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">As ASEAN is celebrating its 50<sup>th<\/sup> Anniversary this year, at the 30<sup>th<\/sup> ASEAN Summit, the ASEAN Leaders will discuss and exchange views on critical issues which ASEAN and the world are facing to further promote peace, security and prosperity for the region and the world. Prioritising ASEAN\u2019s efforts in shaping regional architecture is on ASEAN\u2019s agenda while, at the same time, ASEAN Leaders will also stress on the emerging issues of uncertain political and economic situation.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">In preparation for the 30<sup>th<\/sup> ASEAN Summit, His Excellency Senior Minister Prak Sokhonn will attend the ASEAN Foreign Ministers Meeting, 15<sup>th<\/sup> ASEAN Political-Security Community Council Meeting and the 19<sup>th<\/sup> ASEAN Coordinating Council Meeting, which will be held prior to the Summit.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">As a successful regional organization, ASEAN\u2019s roles and responsibilities have continued to grow over matters outside ASEAN region.
