Horinouchi Hidehisa.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Built at an estimated cost of some US$261 million funded by an ODA loan from the Government of Japan and a budget of the Royal Government of Cambodia, the road portion is part of the Improvement Project of National Road No. 5.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">According to the Ministry of Public Works and Transports, the National Road No. 5 Improvement Project (Prek Kdam-Poipet) under JICA ODA loan is divided into three sections \u2013 North Section (Battambang-Serei Sophorn) of 84.74 kilometres long, South Section (Prek Kdam-Thlea Ma\u2019am) of 135.25 kilometres long, and Middle and End Section (Thlea Ma\u2019am-Battambang and Serei Sophorn-Poipet) of 146.04 kilometres long.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The National Road No. 5 serves an importance rules in domestic transportation and eventually contribute to improvement of the interconnectivity of transportation sector between ASEAN and Mekong Sub-region.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">By C.
