Phnom Penh, January 21, 2019 –Chairman of China’s Sinosteel Corporation, Mr. Xu Siwei, paid a courtesy call on Prime Minister Samdech Akka Moha Sena Padei Techo Hun Sen of the Kingdom of Cambodia, at the Diaoyutai State Guesthouse in Beijing, China this morning.
According to Samdech Techo Hun Sen’s official Facebook page, the courtesy visit was made during the Cambodian Premier’s stay in China for a four-day official visit since Jan. 20.
On the occasion, Mr. Xu Siwei reported about his company’s ongoing investment project on coal-fired power plant in Cambodia, and its interest to invest in the construction of physical infrastructure in the Kingdom and of an undersea internet fiber optic cable line from Hong Kong to Cambodia for high speed Internet access, thanks to Samdech Techo Prime Minister’s open-up policy for all foreign investors.
For his part, Samdech Techo Hun Sen thanked the Chinese company for its trust on Cambodia and expressed welcome to the initiative, saying that Cambodia has now only an undersea internet fiber optic cable line.
