Cambodian PM Meets Former Thai Counterpart

AKP Phnom Penh, June 15, 2018 —Samdech Akka Moha Sena Padei Techo Hun Sen, Prime Minister of the Kingdom of Cambodia, received yesterday evening former Prime Minister of Thailand H.E. Chavalit Yongchaiyudh and his family members.

The friendly and cordial meeting took place in Bangkok, Thailand after the Cambodian Premier’s arrival for the 8th Ayeyawady-Chao Phraya-Mekong Economic Cooperation Strategy Summit (8th ACMECS) and the 9th Cambodia-Lao PDR-Myanmar-Vietnam Summit (9th CLMV Summit).

According to his official Facebook page, Samdech Techo Hun Sen and H.E. Chavalit Yongchaiyudh have been close friends for 30 years.

In the meeting, H.E. Chavalit Yongchaiyudh congratulated Cambodia on its achievements and Samdech Techo Hun Sen on his leadership and good health.

For his part, Samdech Techo Hun Sen thanked H.E. Chavalit Yongchaiyudh for his key role in coordinating for the peaceful negotiations between all political parties in Cambodia, which brought about peace to the whole nation.
