AKP, October 10, 2017 – National Technical Vocational Education and Training (TVET) Policy 2017-2025 was launched here this morning at the Peace Palace under the presidency of Prime Minister Samdech Akka Moha Sena Padei Techo Hun Sen.
On the occasion, the premier appreciated the Ministry of Labour and Vocational Training and other stakeholders for their efforts in elaborating this policy.
This TVET policy will respond to labour market’s requirements, especially contribute to the industrial sector development and decent job creation as well as ensure quality, high productivity and better competitiveness with other countries in the region.
The National TVET Policy 2017-2025 was reviewed and approved by the cabinet meeting in June for human resource development responsive to the current market’s development. It intends to promote governance within the government’s technical and vocational education and training system, engage key stakeholders, and mobilise available resources to succeed the work.
Through the policy, it is expected that more access to technical vocational education and training will be created with quality.
