Cambodian PM Departs for 2 Summits in Bangkok

AKP Phnom Penh, June 14, 2018 —A high-level Cambodian delegation led by Prime Minister Samdech Akka Moha Sena Padei Techo Hun Sen left here this afternoon for Thailand for the 8th Ayeyawady-Chao Phraya-Mekong Economic Cooperation Strategy Summit (8th ACMECS) and the 9th Cambodia-Lao PDR-Myanmar-Vietnam Summit (9th CLMV Summit).

The two summits will take place in Bangkok on June 15-16, 2018.

According to a press release of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation issued yesterday, the 8th ACMECS summit will be held under the theme “Towards an Integrated and Connected Mekong Community”, while the 9th CLMV Summit under the theme “For Greater Economic Integration and Connectivity”.

Besides, Samdech Techo Hun Sen will attend the ACMECS CEO Forum during which he will deliver a key note speech focusing on enhancing ACMECS cooperation and integration and attend a working breakfast with H.E. Thongloun Sisoulith, Prime Minister of Lao PDR, and H.E. Nguyen Xuan Phuc, Prime Minister of Vietnam.

Samdech Techo Prime Minister Hun Sen will also have a bilateral talk with H.E. Gen. Prayut Chan-o-cha, Prime Minister of Thailand in order to strengthen and further deepen cordial and productive bilateral relations between Cambodia and Thailand.
