Press Release: Samdech Techo HUN SEN, will lead a high delegation to attend the Special Commemorative ASEAN-India Summit, the 69th Republic Day Celebrations in New Delhi from 25 to 27 January 2018

Samdech Akka Moha Sena Padei Techo HUN SEN, Prime Minister of the Kingdom of Cambodia, will lead a high delegation to attend the Special Commemorative ASEAN-India Summit, the 69th Republic Day Celebrations in New Delhi and to pay an official visit to the Republic of India from 25 to 27 January 2018 at the invitation of His Excellency Narendra Modi, Prime Minister of the Republic of India.

Cambodian dignitaries to accompany Samdech Techo Prime Minister include His Excellency Prak Sokhonn, Senior Minister, Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, His Excellency Prof. Mam Bunheng, Minister of Health, His Excellency Dr. Hang Chuon Naron, Minister of Education, Youth and Sports, Her Excellency Phoeurng Sackona, Minister of Culture and Fine Arts, His Excellency Pan Sorasak, Minister of Commerce, as well as other members of the Royal Government of Cambodia.

On the sidelines of the Special Commemorative ASEAN-India Summit, Samdech Techo Prime Minister will also attend a working breakfast with His Excellency Nguyen Xuan Phuc, Prime Minister of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam, and His Excellency Thongloun Sisoulith, Prime Minister of the Lao People’s Democratic Republic.

The Delhi Declaration of the Special Commemorative ASEAN-India Summit will be adopted.

In the framework of the official visit, Samdech Techo Prime Minister HUN SEN will pay separate courtesy calls on His Excellency Shri Ram Nath Kovind, President of the Republic of India, and His Excellency Shri M. Venkaiah Naidu, Vice President of the Republic of India, as well as receive a courtesy call from Her Excellency Sushma Swaraj, External Affairs Minister of the Republic of India. Samdech Techo HUN SEN will also lay flowers tribute at the memorial of Mahatma Gandhi.

Samdech Techo HUN SEN will hold bilateral talks with His Excellency Narendra Modi, Prime Minister of the Republic of India. Thereafter, the two leaders will preside over the signing ceremony of a number of documents on bilateral cooperation to be followed by the joint press statements.

During his stay in India, Samdech Techo Prime Minister will also make a key note address at India-Cambodia Business Meeting.
